Living Here
The Shipyard holds the promise of a classic San Francisco neighborhood. Through careful planning and community outreach, a master plan has been designed that puts a broad range of new homes in a true neighborhood context: close to work and shopping, convenient to recreational opportunities, connected to the city-at–large,and respectful of economic and environmental needs, and the existing community. Although the plan is far-reaching and transformational, every aspect has been designed from a human perspective.
The foundation for this vibrant new place is built on these guiding principles:
- Commitment to the Bayview/Hunters Point community
- Local economic development
- Affordable residential opportunities
- Support and engage the local arts community
- A sustainable green community
- Parks and open space
To live at The Shipyard is to enjoy a unique live/work/play environment that is destined to become a place of pride for all of San Francisco and an international model for redevelopment.
A LEED-ND GOLD CERTIFIED COMMUNITY
